Agronomy Division Update - June 2026

Not only is June Dairy month, but it is the official start of summer. With the much-needed rain that fell at the end of May, corn and soybean fields are bolting out of the ground, along with the first flush of weeds. If you see tire tracks along the edge of your field, it is just your field representative scouting your crops for a timely application of over-the-top chemical and fertilizer. First cutting hay fields are even thickening up with undergrowth and those who have already cut have the potential for a tremendous second cutting. Inputs and risk are still high so please reach out to your field sales representative or location manager for a strategic nitrogen management plan. This includes but is not limited to working with soil and water on PSNT test, variable rate nitrogen application, and creating reasonable yield goals.

Small Grain harvest will begin this month, and our Feed Mills are purchasing Barley at a competitive price. Contact the Feed Division or Mill directly for a quote. Our stores are well stocked with summer annual and soybean seed for those who are still deciding what to plant this summer. From the original planning all the way to harvest, Rockingham Coop is there for you every step of the way.

Thank you all.
