August Feed Division Update
We are a little over halfway through 2026 and as is so often the case the weather and the markets have created new challenges for us in feeding our livestock. This year we are challenged with helping our customers find different fiber sources for their livestock. As input costs have increased, we continue to work hard to find economical options for our customers.
We are excited to let everyone know that we can now manufacture fine ground corn out of our Dayton Feed Mill. Fine ground corn works well for high producing dairy cattle. The fine grind allows for more surface area for the rumen microbials to break down the carbohydrates into usable energy. The fine grind also allows for less sorting and complete utilization in the animal. If you are interested in the finer ground corn, please check with our Dayton Mill for pricing. 540-879-2331
