Plan For Harvest With An Eye On The 2026 Growing Season
September officially marks the beginning of harvest season here in the valley. I think it’s safe to say we are all looking forward to cooler temperatures and a bountiful harvest! As the choppers make their way from field to field, this is the time to have your field representatives take soil samples and line up any fall lime application necessary.
It is important at this time to let everyone know that Rockingham Coop will no longer be selling Channel Corn and soybean seed. When our flagship corn (Hubner) merged with Channel last year we were given until 2026 to cut ties with all our other varieties and be exclusive to Channel. The 2025 year has been a learning experience to say the least, with Channels agency model in a retail cooperative, we lost all control of the financial relationship with our member-owners including patronage. At the point we declined signing a 2026 contract with Channel, Bayer decided to pull our Dekalb dealership after decades of sales and service.
We are pleased to announce that we will still represent the highest yielding corn and soybean seed for this area from Bayer, Corteva, and Syngenta traits from here on. This will allow us to help place the best product on your farm for your needs. Whether you are selling milk, livestock, or grain, Rockingham Cooperative will be there to provide you with options to achieve your goals.
