DELIVERY DRIVER – TROUTVILLE AG AND ACE HARDWARE

Troutville Ag and Ace Hardware located in Troutville, Virginia is seeking bright, energetic, and focused individuals to join our team. Drivers are required to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. The driver will be making deliveries daily, willing to make trips to local farms for delivery and assist in the warehouse as needed.  Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment. Reports directly to the Store Manager.

This position will require experience in the following areas:

  • Ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of OSHA standards
  • Forklift operation
  • Load/unloading trucks
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER – CORPORATE OFFICE

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for ensuring that the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of human resources plans, and programs are realized. This position will be responsible for recruiting, new hire orientation, maintaining CDL records, and general employee communications.  This role is also responsible for all payroll functions such as data entry, processing and auditing payroll, and reporting.  This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulation.
  • Responsible for recruiting, including posting jobs, screening, and interviewing candidates, and processing the pre-employment process up to orientation.
  • Effectively support and foster the company’s Open-Door Policy.
  • Responsible for administering HR-related policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist with the development and facilitate programs related to the health, economic, social, and safety of all employees.
  • Provide support to the successful data collection and processing of bi-weekly payroll.
  • Responsible for effectively maintaining all personnel records.
  • Respond to unemployment and other government/financial inquiries regarding employment information in accordance to company guidelines.
  • Maintain all driving records for CDL drivers, including random drug testing.
  • Order employee uniforms, business cards, computers, and cell phones.
  • Facilitate communication and function of employee benefit programs, including open enrollment.
  • Promote and work as a team member with all departments
  • Perform all other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to the company culture and corporate initiatives to achieve goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
  • Must have 2-5 years HR experience
  • PHR or SHRM CP preferred
  • Professional and effective communication, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

CREDIT MANAGER – CORPORATE OFFICE

We are currently seeking a strong leader with the ability to meet company objectives while maintaining company quality standards. We are looking for an individual who can relate well with our customer/owners, is professional and understands our business. The Credit Manager will work with our customers to ensure all account requirements are met, resolve credit and collection issues. Great communication skills, people skills and knowledge collections along with strong organizational and professional skills are required. Successful candidate must be self-motivated, have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills. 

This position will require experience in the following areas:

  • Ability to direct, motivate and train team members
  • Ensure staff training on company credit policy and guidelines for all locations
  • Make challenging credit decisions and visits to customer farms as needed
  • Process credit applications and check credit references
  • Make outbound collection calls, send letters, emails in support of collections
  • Provide credit watch report to management regarding status of accounts
  • Interact with location manager and staff to resolve issues and make credit decisions
  • Compliance with state and federal requirements and statutes
  • Development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Plan and delegate key initiatives, work closely with the team to ensure goals are achieved
  • Supervise employees performing accounts receivable, account approvals and collections 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Must have at least two years collection experience
  • Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

BUYER – PURCHASING DIVISION

Full-time entry level position will be required to perform general purchasing duties including vendor/product sourcing, customer service, data entry, and coordination. This position will also be required to learn and work with Epicor and Merchant AG.  We are looking for someone who will be able to work accurately and efficiently to support our Corporate Purchasing operations. Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment and be willing to perform other duties as assigned. Reports directly to Purchasing Manager.

 This position will require experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent communication, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft products: Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Requires two-three years previous buying/purchasing experience, Ag related is a plus
  • Epicor experience is preferred

This full-time entry level position is required to perform mill operations as assigned by the supervisor to maximize plant efficiency at our Timberville Mill location in Timberville, VA.  Demonstrates the ability to learn and develop mill operations skill set.  Will be required to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment.  Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment and be willing to learn/cross train in all positions.  Reports directly to the Mill Manager.

Shift Hours: Monday – Friday   6:00 am-2:00 pm:    Saturday as required

This position will require experience in the following areas:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of OSHA standards
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Two years of Ag experience
  • Forklift operation
  • Inventory control
