November Feed Division Update: Feeding Local, Feeding with Purpose
To Our Grain Producers
2025 has been a strong year for local corn growers, and we’re proud to be part of that success. At Rockingham Cooperative, our Feed Division continues to back farmers across the Shenandoah Valley by purchasing locally grown corn and soybeans.
When you deliver grain to a Rockingham Cooperative location, you’re doing more than selling a crop—you’re investing directly back into your community. Those bushels help feed local livestock, sustain local jobs, and support the same farm economy that supports you.
This year, we’ve made key upgrades to our grain receiving operation, adding a truck probe and grain tester to improve accuracy, consistency, and efficiency. Every load of corn and soybeans is checked for test weight, moisture, and foreign matter, ensuring quality grain handling and faster unloading. These improvements not only streamline your delivery but also strengthen the quality and reliability of the feed we produce.
To Our Feed Customers
When you buy feed from Rockingham Cooperative, you’re feeding with purpose. Much of the grain in our rations is grown by local farmers—your friends, neighbors, and fellow community members. Every bag or bulk load of feed supports the same Valley farms that raise the crops you depend on.
Our continued investment in grain handling and quality testing guarantees that your feed meets strict nutritional and safety standards, helping your animals perform and your operation stay profitable. From ingredient sourcing to finished feed, we’re focused on delivering dependable nutrition that reflects the pride and care of our local producers.
We’re grateful to work alongside both our grain producers and livestock feeders. Together, you keep agriculture strong in our region—and we’re honored to help connect the two sides of that cycle.
