February 2026 Agronomy Division Update

It seems like the dust has just settled from the 2025 harvest but February marks the official start of spring for the agronomy division. The open winter has allowed our trucks to continuously apply P and K as well as lime. Our attention is now shifting to small grain and hay fields. Winter annuals were a little slow due to the dry fall but are out and need attention now. This is opportune time for the first application of nitrogen as winter grain starts to come out of dormancy. Perennial weeds in hay and pasture can be addressed with great success as the temperature moves into the 50’s.

If you have fields that still need soil samples taken or haven’t secured your seed needs for 2026 please reach out to your field representative or your local branch so we can focus on these and create a plan for your farms. Part of any farm plan is always finance, with the roller coaster in commodities pricing we understand cash flow. Whether it is fertilizer, crop protection, or seed we have finance options for you. Please ask your Representative or location about what Rockingham Cooperative has to offer.
