Introducing the 2026 Show Team Ambassadors
We’re excited to officially introduce our 2026 Rockingham Cooperative Show Team Ambassadors, a group of standout youth exhibitors selected to help support Rockingham Cooperative Show Team members throughout the upcoming show season.
The Show Team Ambassador Program is a one-year youth leadership opportunity for junior and senior livestock exhibitors who want to give back, lead by example, and help younger showmen succeed. Ambassadors serve as mentors, educators, and role models, supporting youth livestock programs while representing the cooperative at shows, clinics, and educational events across our service area.
After a competitive interview and selection process, three individuals stood out for their motivation, leadership potential, and passion for youth livestock education. We’re proud to welcome them into these new roles.
Makenzie Watts
Hampshire County | Primary Species: Cattle
Makenzie brings a calm, steady presence to the show ring and a strong desire to help younger exhibitors build confidence and skills. Her passion lies in teaching hands-on showmanship, especially providing in-ring guidance to youth who are still learning the ropes. While she may be reserved at first, Makenzie opens up quickly and has a natural ability to manage and engage a group. She is a proud member of her local 4-H & FFA programs.
As a Show Team Ambassador, Makenzie is excited to work directly with younger cattle exhibitors, helping them improve technique, understand ring etiquette, and feel prepared when it matters most.
Abigal “Abby” Floyd
Rockingham County | Primary Species: Lambs & Goats
Abby is passionate about agriculture and deeply invested in youth involvement. Known for her responsibility, strong work ethic, and leadership ability, she thrives in organized environments and brings a thoughtful, steady approach to mentoring. Abby is a proud member of Broadway FFA & Greenmount 4-H Clubs.
Her goal as an ambassador is to be the kind of support system she wishes she had earlier in her show career. Abby is especially interested in helping younger exhibitors with showmanship development and buyer solicitation, while continuing to promote agriculture in a positive, professional way.
Robert Ford
Warren County | Primary Species: Lambs & Hogs
Outgoing and confident, Robert brings strong public-speaking skills and high energy to the ambassador team. He’s motivated by a desire to help younger exhibitors improve and by his long-term interest in a future career in agriculture, potentially as a veterinarian or agricultural educator. Robert is a proud member of the Skyline FFA and Stock Show Kids 4-H Clubs.
Robert is eager to expand his own knowledge, particularly in livestock fitting, while serving as a mentor for youth exhibitors across multiple species. He’s also a strong advocate for hands-on education and learning opportunities and is excited to play an active role in Show Team programming this season.
What Show Team Ambassadors Do
Throughout the 2026 show season, Show Team Ambassadors will represent Rockingham Cooperative at livestock shows and educational events, assist with Show Team activities, mentor younger 4-H and FFA exhibitors, and help share educational content that supports youth livestock programs. Ambassadors commit several hours each month, with additional involvement during peak fair and show season.
We’re proud of Makenzie, Abby, and Robert for stepping up to lead, teach, and give back to the youth livestock community. Please join us in congratulating them as they begin their journey as 2026 Rockingham Cooperative Show Team Ambassadors.
