March 2026 Feed Division Update

As we head toward spring, now is the time to start thinking about fly control. Our mills can include fly control products directly into any custom ration, giving producers an easy, consistent way to manage flies before they become a problem. We currently have access to several insect growth regulators (IGR’s) such as Clarifly and Altosid.

Research continues to show that fly control works best when it starts 2–3 weeks before the last killing frost. Getting ahead of it allows these products to interrupt the fly lifecycle before eggs mature and reproduce. Waiting until flies are already active often means playing catch-up all summer.

Spring is the right time to think through fly control strategies so you’re ready when conditions change fast. If you want to talk through options or make adjustments to your ration, reach out to your Rockingham Cooperative Feed team. We’re here to help you plan for 2026.
