Rockingham Cooperative is committed to providing additional support to the communities we serve through the Agriculture Production Education Grant Program, in which we extend grant funding to agricultural education programs in our service area. The grant program allows our cooperative to support the growth of agricultural education programs and, in turn, invest in the teaching of production agricultural practices in the communities we live in and serve for future generations.
Mission of the Program
Through the Agriculture Production Education Grant program, Rockingham Cooperative continues to invest in the agriculture education programs in our service area, providing exceptional hands-on learning opportunities for youth to learn best-practices and gain valuable experience on industry leading production agriculture standards.
Timeline
Applications for grant funding will be open once per year, allowing agriculture education programs, and their respective agriculture education instructors, to apply each spring for available funding to be awarded in the fall of the same year.
Grant’s will be awarded for up to $2,500 in one application cycle.
2024 Timeline
April 15 – Grant Applications open for agriculture education programs to apply.
May 31 – Grant Application Deadline. Applications can be submitted online or via email to customerservice@rockinghamcoop.com.
June 28 – Agriculture education programs that are awarded grants will be notified.
July 12 – Grant Winners publicly announced.
Fall 2024 – Funds distributed to grant winners.
