Crisp morning air changing to beautiful sunny afternoons, redbud blossoms in full bloom, and the start of Market Animal Show season all seem to coincide around the same time each year. We look forward, like many of our customers, to the spring-time weather for planting and projects around the farm/operation.

Just like our member-owners work year-round on their operation, the 4-H & FFA members that raise and show livestock do very similar things, just on a smaller scale, as they work with their projects in some capacity each month of the year.  The Augusta County Market Animal Show is typically one of the first market show & sales Rockingham Cooperative has the pleasure of supporting the youth in our communities at in Virginia.  It also happens to be one of the largest 4-H & FFA youth livestock show & sales on the east coast.

One of the most satisfying and rewarding portions of the showing experience for many youth is the opportunity to market and sell their livestock on Saturday of the event.  Rockingham Cooperative is proud to be one of the top supporters for the youth and invite you to join us in supporting the youth.  The sale begins on Saturday, May 4th at 10 am.  If you’re unsure of how to support, come sit beside us at the sale and we’d be glad to help you feel at ease knowing your supporting some extremely hardworking young individuals in Augusta County!

We invite you, your business, and/or your family to come out to the Augusta Expo in Fishersville on Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, May 2-4 to join us in supporting the hardworking 4-H/FFA livestock showmen.  You can view the show schedule below, and visit the Augusta Market Animal Show website, here.
